The Inner Circle
[work in production]
Featuring the pedestrian level urban design of post war Birmingham's inner ring-road system. A symbol of the failures of urban planning conceived during the post war era and carried out by civic engineers, architects and town planners intent on creating a 21st Century city based on the large American city plan. This kind of ring road system is a common feature of many of the U.K's inner cities although this version of the future is rapidly being replaced with a 'new' 21st Century urban plan which has little of the old idealism, now more intent on erasing the old worn out 20th century vision of the future.
